The Corridor - 515 N Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA
The iconic and well recognized "Corridor" is a shopping center in downtown Palm Springs. We started this construction in 1999 with the demolition and removal of the front building, swimming pool, tennis court and center building. At this time we were able to create and form the future of the building by design of the Architect. We did the framing of all arches at the entries and overhangs and replaced all the glass and windows creating different spaces for different stores. We set up plumbing and electrical lines as well as moved and relocated all the existing palm trees. A new roof was installed and also new air conditioners were put in place. That was our involvement in Phase I.
In 2001 we started Phase II which involved completion of the front building. It's a very interesting building with two different styles of structures, but it's unique in itself. Most of Phase II ornaments and fixtures are handmade - brought in from Mexico - and all buildings re-designed by an architect from Argentina. This is a beautiful place where people come to sit and enjoy the mountain views and the Hacienda feeling the patio gives the entire center. The landscaping is an extraordinary design where all palm trees were relocated to create the ultimate Palm Springs lifestyle.
Koffi was the first store in the Corridor - EMD Construction also did all the build-out work following the owner’s and designer’s ideas. Another successful story!
