68-633 & 68-643 E Street, Cathedral City, CA
I was approached by Cathedral City Redevelopment Agency and asked to build these two houses with the purpose of enhancing or bringing up the value of property in this neighborhood- and we succeeded! Both houses were built at the same time, which made this project more convenient and cost effective.
The house on the corner, 68-633, is a 2,200 sq. ft. custom home I designed with my family in mind to include 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, porcelain tile floors throughout with the exception of the bedrooms. All countertops are granite; it has a beautiful swimming pool in the back with landscaping all around. The double-door entry are sandblasted with special design and the exterior walls are smooth finish with several coats of paint.
The other house next door, 68-643, features a Casita in front. I thought it would be a great idea for a home office and decided to include it. The Casita is approximately 440 sq. ft. (the size of a garage) and is very comfortable for guests or business. The house in the back is 1,700 sq. ft. with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen from where you can enjoy the view of the swimming pool perfectly located in between the Casita and main house. The rear of the house has a backyard all across to create full privacy. This house also a smooth finish with several coats of paint. This entry, too, features double doors which is a main and constant feature of EMD built homes.
